Loudoun County has received an Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award from the National Procurement Institute. This award is presented to organizations that demonstrate excellence in procurement by obtaining a high score based on standardized criteria. The program is designed to measure innovation, professionalism, e-procurement, productivity, and leadership attributes of the procurement organization.

Loudoun County is one of only five government agencies in Virginia and one of only 41 counties in the United States to receive the award. This is the 14th consecutive year Loudoun County has won the award.
