The Loudoun County Department of Planning prepares reports and studies to assist the Board of Supervisors, Planning Commission and citizens in the development of policies and plans that guide the use of land in the county. The department manages land development applications for rezonings and special exceptions to determine consistency with county plans and ordinances.
Residents may also contact the department for information on historic and archeological resources, and planning studies or initiatives near their homes or properties.Planning documents are available for review or purchase at the department's front counter as well as on this website.
