Board of Supervisors
Legislative Program

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors' 2009 legislative program spells out the Board's position on issues that were expected to be taken up by the Virginia General Assembly during its 2009 regular session, which began January 14, 2009, and ended February 28, 2009. (A reconvened session will begin April 8, 2009.)

The issues the Board was most concerned about during the regular legislative session in Richmond fell into the following areas: state tax issues; public safety; human services; transportation; general government and education; land use, zoning and property maintenance; unfunded mandates; and employment and benefits.

The document outlining the Board's 2009 legislative program is online. It includes actions taken by the Board at its January 21, 2009, business meeting. The document requires the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, which may be downloaded here.
