The responsibilities of the Training and EMS Division include the coordination and delivery of Emergency Medical Services (EMS), fire, technical rescue, hazardous materials and safety related training to a combined system.

Training responsibilities also include professional development educational programs in areas such as leadership and instructional theory, and practices and facilitation of departmental quality assurance and quality improvement.

This program provides liaisons to various local, regional, state and national work groups and committees, and coordinates special service-related programs.
