Holiday Store Dates and Needs

Items Needed

Clothing: Complete outfits for infants through teens. Sweaters, warm socks, and hats and gloves for seniors.

Food: Nonperishable foods such as cereal, hearty soups, 100% juice, canned tuna or chicken, corn or green beans, macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, instant potatoes, stuffing mix, and $10 food store gift cards so that recipients can purchase perishable items.

Household & Personal Care Items: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, toilet paper, deodorant, soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, dishwashing liquid, paper towels, and all purpose cleaners.

Toys: Toys of all kinds for infants through pre-teens.

Stockings: Fill a stocking for children ages 2-12 years. We provide the empty stockings. Call 703-737-8062.

Teens: Electronic games, jewelry, purses, toiletry items, etc. This group is our biggest challenge!

Seniors: Blankets and quilts, warm sweaters and cardigans (especially sizes XL and up), hats and gloves, underwear (larger sizes) and socks.

Pets: Pet food, toys, and supplies.

Gift Certificates: Varied certificates for teenage gifts as well as grocery store gift cards for perishable items. Certificates in small amounts such as $10.00 are easiest to distribute fairly.

Cash donations: We can always use funds to help us purchase items in any of the above areas.

Please: New items only. We are not collecting used coats or holiday decorations this year.

Volunteers

Give yourself a gift: sign up to volunteer during one or both holiday stores.
Volunteers must be at least 15 years old.
