The Loudoun County Animal Shelter is located on a 13-acre parcel of land, five miles west of Leesburg, Virginia.The shelter was originally constructed by the Humane Society of the United States in 1967 and was purchased by the county in 1974. The facility as remodeled, modernized and expanded in 2000.
