Animal Shelter Hours of Operation
The Loudoun County Department of Animal Care & Control has adjusted the operating hours for the Loudoun County Animal Shelter. The hours are:

The Animal Shelter will be closed for adoptions on Fridays, but will be open for other business, including dog license sales, reclaiming of stray pets, and animal surrenders.

Phone lines (703-777-0406, 540-882-3211) are open during regular business hours for animal shelter and animal control inquiries. Outside of regular business hours, you may report an animal-related emergency by calling the Loudoun County Sheriff's Department at 703-777-0445.
Emergency animal control services are limited to those serious situations where humans are threatened by domestic or wild animals, or where domestic animals have been reported to be cruelly treated, sick or injured.
