Here are answers to some of the questions we receive most frequently:

How do I obtain concealed weapon permits?

First, you will need to pick up an application at the Clerk of the Circuit Court or the Loudoun Sheriff's Administration Building at 880 Harrison Street, S.E., Leesburg, VA. Then bring your completed application with your driver's license and proof of training (for new applications) or your old permit (for renewals) to 880 Harrison Street. A criminal history check and driver's transcript will be completed while you wait. You will receive a sealed packet to be returned to the Circuit Court. The Court will collect the $40 fee. You should receive your permit within a few weeks.

How do I obtain solicitor permits?

To obtain a solicitor’s permit you must go to 880 Harrison Street in Leesburg to the Sheriff’s Office Records Section. Once there, you will need to fill out an application. A criminal history records check will be preformed. In most cases the permit will be issued immediately. It costs $15. This permit is valid for one (1) year. The renewal fee is $15.

How do I obtain massage permits?

To obtain a massage permit you must go to 880 Harrison Street in Leesburg to the Sheriff’s Office Records Section. Once there, you will need to fill out an application. A criminal history records check will be performed. In most cases the permit will be issued immediately. If you are applying for a therapist license, you will need to show your proof of training. There is a $200 fee for original permits and $100 fee for renewals if the permit is not expired. This permit is valid for one (1) year.

How do I obtain copy of my accident report?

A copy of your accident report can be requested in person or by mail. To request by mail you need to send a letter along with a self addressed stamped envelope. To request in person you must show identification. This report is released to the individuals involved and/or the insurance company. No juvenile information will be released (their information will be covered). The charge is $10 for insurance companies and out-of-county residents.

How do I obtain copy of my offense reports?

We do not release copies of offense reports, however, we will provide a summary sheet to the victims/complainants and the insurance company. The charge is $10 for insurance companies and out-of-county residents.
