Northern Virginia Community College Board
General Purpose
The college board performs such duties with respect to the operation of a community college as may be delegated to it by the State Board. In general, a college board is responsible for assuring that the community college is responsive to the needs existing within its service region within the statewide policies, procedures, and regulations of the State Board for Community Colleges.
Members
There are eleven members who are representatives of the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, Manassas, and Manassas Park, and the counties of Arlington, Loudoun, and Prince William, with one representative each, and Fairfax County, with three representatives. The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors appoints one Loudoun County citizen.
Meetings
Meetings of the Northern Virginia Community College Board are held on the third Monday of each month, except during the summer, at the college's Annandale Campus.
