The Loudoun County Commissioner of the Revenue offers selected Department of Motor Vehicle services (DMV Selection) at the commissioner's offices in Leesburg and Sterling. We'll be adding to our list of frequently asked questions as we receive them, so please check back.

What transactions which can be processed by DMV Select?

  • Titles - original (with or without liens), substitute, replacement, title maintenance (change information on title records)
  • Vehicle Registrations - originals, renewals, transfers, re-issues and surrender of plates
  • Special and personalized license plate orders
  • Dealer title and registration transactions
  • Voter registration applications
  • Transcripts - vehicle, driver
  • Trip permits, overload permits
  • Handicapped parking placards
  • Name and address changes that do not involve issuance of a driver's license or ID card
  • Returned checks - full or partial payment

Can I obtain or renew my driver's license at one of the Commissioner of the Revenue's offices?

No. Drivers licenses are issued only at full-service DMV customer service centers. Full-service DMV customer service centers are located in both Leesburg and Sterling.

Federal & State Tax Forms

Where do I get Federal Income Tax forms?

Unfortunately, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) has not provided local government offices with Federal Tax forms since January 1, 2006. However, you may obtain Federal Tax forms and information in the following ways:

Online at www.irs.gov or by calling the IRS at 1-800-TAX-FORM

Federal Tax forms can be printed for free at our office's public PCs located in both our Leesburg and Sterling offices. However, due to the size of most federal income tax publications, you will not be able to print such documents in our office. You may visit us online here.

Where do I get Virginia State Tax forms?

Our office receives a limited supply of the most commonly used Virginia State Tax forms from the Virginia Department of Taxation. Contact information for our office is online here.

You may request or download Virginia state Income Tax forms online from the Virginia Department of Taxation or by calling 804-440-2541.

Where can I get Virginia State Income Tax Assistance?

If you need assistance in the completion and filing of Virginia State Individual Income Tax returns, please contact our office at 703-777-0260; or visit us at the following locations listed here:

Note: A completed IRS Federal Income Tax return is necessary, prior to receiving assistance with completion and filing of Virginia State Individual Income returns from our office.

Additionally, the Loudoun County Area Agency on Aging assists elderly, low income, disabled, or non-English speaking taxpayers through its free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program with preparing federal and state income tax forms during the months of February, March, and early April. You may contact the Area Agency on Aging directly at 703-777-0257 or online here.
