VIEW (Virginia Initiative for Employment Not Welfare)

This program offers case management and support services to county residents who are or have been, within the last 12 months, recipients of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families). This program provides job search support, crisis intervention, training and educational opportunities, transportation and other services so that families can gain and maintain stability. Participants must be or have been a TANF recipient.

Vehicles for Change

Current or past recipients of TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) who are employed may be able to purchase a vehicle for a small fee through this program. For more information, contact Janis Chamblin at 703-771-5871.

Ways-to-Work

Families with lower incomes and who are working at least 20 hours per week at the same job site for 3 months, may be eligible to receive a lo interest loan to purchase a vehicle through this program. For more information, contact Janis Chamblin at 703-771-5871.
