Our purpose

Our purpose is to enable our participants to remain in the community as long as possible and to provide support and respite to caregivers of older adults.

Information about Day Care Services

Whom we serve

We serve Loudoun County residents age 60 or older with memory loss or health problems that would benefit from socialization and/or help with personal care needs.  We accept only persons whose needs we can meet and who do not require professional nursing services. Many of our clients have Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia.

Services we provide

Trained, highly qualified staff provide: physical activities and exercise (adjusted to individual capabilities); mentally stimulating activities; assistance with personal care needs; medication administration; health monitoring; nutritious hot lunches and snacks; transportation to some areas; referral to community resources.

A safe and engaging environment is provided through professionally designed programs that meet the specific needs of each participant. Our staff identifies activities that will brighten the participants’ day by revitalizing the joys, accomplishments, strengths, and comfortable habits of the present and past. We provide mentally stimulating activities, physical exercise, assistance with personal care needs, medication administration, health monitoring, nutritious hot lunches and snacks, transportation to some areas, and referral to community resources.

Admissions Process

Call the Adult Day Center in Purcellville or Leesburg to make an appointment for an assessment interview. Each participant will need a physical examination from his/her physician, a TB screening, and provide a list of all medications. Choosing a convenient schedule is next; schedule options include:

  1. Monday – Friday
  2. Monday, Wednesday, Friday
  3. Tuesday & Thursday
Fees

Fees are reasonable and based on a sliding scale according to the financial circumstances of the participant. Fees are due monthly.
