About the Center
 The Loudoun County Senior Center at Cascades provides a beautiful location for the thriving and diverse 55+ community in eastern Loudoun County. The center offers classes, groups and programs on a wide variety of topics that provide learning, growth and social opportunities. Annual memberships are available to Loudoun residents for $20 and non-county residents for $25. Daily drop-in fees are $1 for Loudoun residents and $1.50 for non-county residents.
The center provides abundant space for activities and events:
- An aerobics/dance studio for exercise classes & fitness activities;
- Free weights and cardio equipment;
- Arts & crafts;
- Ceramics (with kiln);
- Activity room with pool tables and puzzle table; (pictured above)
- Classroom for language classes and other special topics;
- Computer lab for daily use and technology classes;
- A club room for relaxing with a cup of coffee or tea;
- A health room for regularly scheduled blood pressure checks and one-on-one appointments with Loudoun County social services staff
- Large hall for special events and daily Senior Café lunch
- A meeting and party room for programs, movies, meetings and other special events
Morning Refreshments and Lunch
An informal morning brunch is offered daily from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with coffee, tea, hot chocolate and pastries. Daily and local weekly newspapers and magazines are available.
Join us for lunch in the Senior Café from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Once a month birthday celebration with cake and ice cream immediately following lunch. A donation is requested for lunch. Information regarding the appropriate donation amount is posted on the bulletin board in the Senior Café. Reservations for lunch at the Senior Center Café must be made at least 24-hours in advance by calling 703-430-2397.
Ongoing Programs
The Senior Center provides ongoing programs, groups and classes*:
- Ceramics*, painting, knitting, crocheting, scrapbook & card making,
- Aerobics, Line Dancing, Tai Chi, Gentle Yoga*, Ballroom Dancing, Pickle Ball, Wii
- Bridge (duplicate & party), Canasta, Oh Heck, Poker, Hand & Foot
- The Late Bloomers Singers, Tea Time
- Beginning Spanish, Italian, ESL chat groups
- Computer/technology classes*
- Camera club, Man to Man (prostate cancer support group), hearing loss support group, book discussion group
- Monthly “Movie & Popcorn”
- Monthly “Jeopardy” game
- Special monthly celebrations, such as Mother’s Day Tea, Father’s Day Reception and other holiday gatherings

*Classes are fee-based. Scholarships for classes are available based on need.
General interest activities are free unless otherwise noted and do not require registration. Annual membership and daily drop-in fees apply.
Daily Transportation
Transportation via Loudoun County Parks, Recreation & Community Services/AAA buses is available to and from the L.C. Senior Center at Cascades from Sterling and Ashburn areas.
