Transit Plan Advisory Committee

Background

In 2007, the Board of Supervisors created the Transit Plan Advisory Committee to provide a twenty-year vision and associated operational and financial plan(s) to address the evolving transit needs in Loudoun County.

Members

There are thirteen members appointed by the Board of Supervisors representing specific geographic regions of the county. Additional representation from transit and community groups include:

• Commuter Bus Advisory Board (CBAB)
• Commuter Bus Busmeister Representative
• Board of Supervisors (Andrea McGimsey)
• Planning Commission
• Loudoun Commission on Aging
• Department of Family Services
• Virginia Regional Transit (VRT)
• Dulles Area Transportation Association (DATA)
• Loudoun County Economic Development Commission
• Coalition of Loudoun Towns (COLT)
• Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation (VDRPT)
• Loudoun Volunteer Caregivers

Meetings

The Transit Plan Advisory Committee meets as needed over the course of the Transit Plan project, planned to be completed by the end of 2008.
