Neighborhood Watch

Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the active participation of residents in cooperation with law enforcement to reduce crime, solve problems, and improve the quality of life in their community.

Members of the Loudoun Sheriff's Crime Prevention Unit assist you with how to recognize and report crimes and suspicious activities, protect yourself, your family, and your property, protect your neighbor’s family and property, and identify crime and disorder problems in your area and work with the Sheriff's Office to resolve any issues.

Neighborhood Watch Newsletters

In an effort to keep citizens better informed about crime, the Sheriff's Office has implemented a monthly Neighborhood Watch Newsletter. This newsletter includes safety and security tips relevant for the month and the time of year. It also includes information on recent crimes and crime trends in the county. The newsletter will also detail educational crime prevention training events that are open to the public. A copy of the most recent issue of the newsletter is online:

Anyone who would like to receive the newsletter may sign up through the Alert Loudoun system located on the Loudoun County website at www.loudoun.gov. The system is free and allows those who sign up to receive the latest news affecting the county. The information can be sent to your e-mail as well as cell phones or pagers that receive text messaging. The service is available to anyone with an e-mail account.
