Loudoun County's Research Unit is the source for the county's current demographic, economic, and development status and forecasts; revenue status and forecasts; and analysis of fiscal, economic, and demographic issues.  Research Unit staff provide assistance in the interpretation and correct use of data to a wide range of users, including county officials and the general public.

Monthly Financial & Housing Updates

A monthly report on the county’s finances, building permit activity, housing sales, and foreclosures has been produced for the Board of Supervisor’s Finance/Government Services and Operations Committee since June 2008. This report includes revenues, expenditures, and debt financing status for the given fiscal year. It also includes residential building permits, housing sales, and foreclosures on a calendar year basis. The reports are online:
