Early Identification of Young Children with Autism
|
|
The Loudoun Health Council has designated a subcommittee to address the early identification of young children with autism, birth to age 2, and is offering information to parents who may have some concerns regarding their child’s development
In addition, the Loudoun County Community Services Board and Loudoun County Public Schools have collaborated to raise awareness among families regarding the early identification of autism in infants and young children through the development and dissemination of early intervention materials.
These materials include a brochure in both English and Spanish and The Early Childhood Milestones Map (Autism Speaks). Some documents require the free Adobe Reader, which may be downloaded here.
These materials have been distributed at the following locations in Loudoun County:
- Inova Loudoun Hospital
- Loudoun Community Health Center
- Loudoun Free Clinic
- MotherNet/Healthy Families of Loudoun County
- LaVoz of Loudoun County
- Loudoun YMCA
