No information concerning anyone's identity or residence is released or shared. By law, the Census Bureau cannot share respondents’ answers with any government agency.
Results are used by decision makers at all levels of government and in the business community. The wide array of uses makes it very important for all Loudoun County residents to be counted in the 2010 Census.
How Will the Census Benefit Loudoun Residents?
The census results are used to allocate billions of dollars in government funding as well as political representation. based on population and other Census data. Loudoun will receives its share of government funds based on its population and other census data. Every person counts towards the distribution of government funds, just as every vote counts in an election.
Census results help determine locations for business, retail, schools, roads, hospitals, childcare facilities, senior centers, and other important community services.

News: Address Canvassing has Begun
The Census Bureau has begun canvassing addresses. The address canvassing began in April and will continue until mid-July 2009. Residents may see census workers in their neighborhoods and on their property, entering information into handheld electronic devices. These devices help census workers collect address and and geographic data for use during the 2010 Census. The goal of the census is to count everyone once - only once -and in the right geographic location.
Census workers should display an identification badge issued by the U.S. Census Bureau identifying them as employees.
