Members of Girl Scout Daisy Troop 356 from Catoctin Elementary School in Leesburg recently attended a driving tour at the Loudoun County Solid Waste Management Facility to see how a landfill works and to learn more about recycling.

The Loudoun County landfill is located at 21101 Evergreen Mills Road, Leesburg, and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.

Fall 2009 landfill tour dates are still available, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Contact the Office of Solid Waste Management at 703-771-5514.
