Fire and Rescue Commission General Purpose The general purpose of the Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Commission is to develop effective, efficient and equitable fire rescue and emergency services countywide; to provide the policy and regulatory framework for all such fire, rescue and medical service operations and to advise the County Administrator and Board of Supervisors on matters relating to fire, rescue and emergency medical services. Policies and Procedures Members The commission has seven voting members: three fire volunteers, three Emergency Medical Service volunteers, and the Chief of Fire and Rescue. The Operational Medical Director is a non-voting member. Meetings The commission holds its business meeting on the last Tuesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. Workshops and committee meetings are held as needed.
