Housing Choice Voucher Resident Advisory Board Members NeededVolunteers are needed for the "Resident Advisory Board," which is composed of Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) family members, and advises the Department of Family Services on HCV planning and rules. Generally, the board meets only twice a year and has a voice as to how the HCV program is run in Loudoun County. Contact Stuart Shatz, HVC Division Manager, 703-737-8969. General Purpose The purpose of the Resident Advisory Board is to propose and review Administrative Plan additions and changes, annual and five-year federal Public Housing Agency plans, and to suggest Loudoun County Family Services operations manual changes. Members The board consists of five members and two alternates. They are appointed at-large by the Board of Supervisors. Meetings Meetings are held in the conference room of the Department of Family Services in the Shenandoah Building, 102 Heritage Way, N.E., on the first Monday of February and September, beginning at 6:30 p.m. and ending no later than 8:30 p.m. If schools are closed due to inclement weather, the February meeting shall be moved to the second Monday of February. Additional meetings can be scheduled by majority vote of the advisory board or by request of Loudoun County Family Services. |
