The Loudoun County Division of Waste Management coordinates and regulates all solid waste management facilities operating in the county to ensure protection of public health, safety and the environment.
Part of the Department of Construction & Waste Management, the division also operates the county's solid waste management facility (the landfill), oversees county recycling programs, including special electronics recycling and household hazardous waste collection events, and responds to residents' complaints about illegal dumping and unsafe transportation of waste materials.
Curbside refuse and recycling collection services are provided by towns, HOAs, or must be independently contracted by the homeowner. Water and sewer service is provided by incorporated towns or Loudoun Water. Learn more by clicking on the Curbside Collection & Water link below.
