| Short on Time? Long on Trash? Try FastTrash! Loudoun County has responded to growth and service demands at the Solid Waste Management Facility with a program called FastTrash! | | What is FastTrash? FastTrash is a Saturday only, $5.00 flat-fee program for household waste designed to continue quality service at the Loudoun County landfill during peak user hours. FastTrash customers pay $5 (cash only) on the inbound scale. There, they receive a special ticket that admits them into Convenience Area One. After depositing their trash in the dumpsters, customers exit the facility, bypassing the outbound scale. FastTrash customers will not have to wait in an additional line.
Non-FastTrash customers will be directed to other areas of the facility. When is FastTrash available? Saturdays only, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Who can use FastTrash? Customers who bring up to 10 standard bags of municipal solid waste (MSW), or equivalent volume for disposal may use FastTrash.
Customers who exceed the 10 standard bag maximum will be weighed in and out using the current fee system. | | What is a standard bag of trash? A 33-gallon plastic trash bag or the equivalent amount in cans, boxes, or barrels. Equivalency will be determined by scalehouse operators on duty. What types of waste are not accepted under FastTrash? Yard and construction waste, scrap metal, propane cylinders, rubble, bulky items (i.e. couches, large furniture), or surcharged items (i.e. refrigerated appliances, tires). | Typical FastTrash load
