The Elder Resources unit is composed of a knowledgeable team of professionals dedicated to helping people at every stage of the aging process. The unit provides information and assistance to help Loudoun County older adults and their families access information about available resources and services.

This is accomplished through written materials, community presentations, telephone counseling, and by providing services and supports to help older residents be engaged and remain in their communities for as long as possible. Resources

Case Management Services: Links eligible persons 60 years of age and older at risk of nursing home placement with needed community services.
Disease Prevention and Health Promotion: Offers information and education to help seniors achieve a healthy aging lifestyle.
Home-Delivered Meals: Provides weekday noontime meals to homebound older adults.
Information and Assistance (formerly known as Elder Choices): Links older adults and their caregivers with needed community services.
Northern Virginia Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program: Provides information about long term care facilities in Northern Virginia and advocacy for recipients of long-term care services.
Tax Preparation Assistance: Provides income tax preparation assistance for eligible Loudoun County residents.
Virginia Insurance Counseling and Assistance Program: Provides information and guidance related to Medicare health insurance and the Medicare prescription drug program.
Volunteer Services: Places volunteers of all ages and backgrounds into challenging and rewarding volunteer opportunities.
