Franklin Park is a regional park in the western portion of Loudoun County. Its 203 acres of rolling hills harbor majestic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Folks walking the park’s perimeter trail often stop to watch the brilliant colors of the sunset cascading across the sky.

Franklin Park opened July 4, 1998, offering a wide variety of outdoor activities to fit any occasion.

Enjoy the beauty of nature at Franklin Park and take advantage of our sporting and recreational facilities.

Children can enjoy our shaded playground year-round and you can also enjoy a picnic inside our playground area.

The two perimeter trails are 3.5 miles long and serve many uses. The inner trail is used primarily for horseback riding. The outer trail can be used for hiking, biking, walking, cross-country training, and dog walking. Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash and owners clean-up any waste. Dogs are not allowed in the sports complex, on the playing fields or in the fenced-in playground area.

In addition to swimming, there are sporting activities such as volleyball on our sand court, in-line hockey, and tennis.

Other sports facilities include two baseball fields, three Little League/softball fields, two soccer fields, and two football/rugby/lacrosse fields.

During the winter months you may see people enjoying the park's rolling hills, which are perfect for sled riding, snowboarding, or cross country skiing. Bring your family out to take advantage of Western Loudoun's beautiful Franklin Park!
