1. How do I obtain a copy of an accident report?

Requests for copies of accident reports can be made either in person or by mail. To request a copy by mail, send a letter along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. To request a copy in person, you must show proof of identification. Copies of reports are only released to individuals listed on the report and/or the insurance company of the insured. There is a $10 fee for businesses and out-of-county residents. To request a copy by mail, send the request to:

2. Can I obtain a copy of an offense report?

Copies of offense reports are not released unless so ordered by the court, however a summary sheet can be provided to only victims / complainants and insurance companies with proper identification. There is a $10 fee for businesses and out-of-county resident.

3. There were deputies in my neighborhood last night. How can I find out about crime in my neighborhood?

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office offers residents the ability to find why, where, and when deputies were called to their neighborhood. The agency was the first in the state of Virginia to join forces with CrimeReports to allow residents to go online and view recent crimes in their community.
