1. What transactions can be processed by DMV Select?

• Dealer title and registration transactions
• Handicapped parking placards
• Name and address changes that do not involve issuance of a driver’s license or ID card
• Returned checks – full or partial payment
• Special and personalized license plate orders
• Titles – original (with or without liens), substitute, replacement, and title maintenance (change information on the title records)
• Transcripts – vehicle, driver
• Trip permits, overload permits
• Vehicle registrations – originals, renewals, transfers, reissues, and surrender of plates
• Voter registration applications

2. Can I obtain or renew my driver's license at one of the Commissioner of the Revenue's offices?

No. Drivers licenses are issued only at full-service DMV customer service centers. Full-service DMV customer service centers are located in both Leesburg and Sterling.

3. Can DMV transactions be done online?

Yes. Many DMV transactions can be conducted online. Customers may set up a myDMV account and get a Personal Identification Number (PIN) to conduct secure transactions at www.dmvNOW.com/myDMV and manage their DMV record without visiting a DMV office. They may opt in to get their decal reminders in the most convenient way for them, through emails or phone calls, rather than U.S. mail.

A myDMV account and PIN also allows customers to:

• Change or activate their PIN
• Change their address and organ donor status
• Make a reinstatement fee payment
• Make and order souvenir license plates for gifts
• Order special or personalized license plates
• Print a vehicle’s original electronic title or replacement title
• Renew and replace driver’s licenses or ID cards
• Report that a vehicle was sold or traded
• Request a compliance summary revealing steps necessary to reinstate driving privileges
• Request a new registration card to replace a lost card
• Review their driving record
