The staff of the Loudoun County Department of Community Corrections has moved back to 107 Loudoun Street in Leesburg. The staff was forced to temporarily relocate in November 2012 after fire damaged the Loudoun Street offices.

The substance abuse groups that have been meeting on Monday and Tuesday evenings at the Shenandoah Building, 102 Heritage Way, N.E. in Leesburg, will return to the Loudoun Street location beginning Monday, April 22, 2013.

Note: The Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office has classified the fire at the Community Corrections office as an arson.  A reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons responsible for the fire.  Anyone with information should contact the Loudoun County Crime Solvers at 703-777-1919.

The Community Corrections Program offers the judiciary a variety of programs for nonviolent offenders. These programs help save jail space in the adult detention center and allow offenders to maintain their jobs, support their families, and provide restitution to the crime victims and to the community.

These services include probation supervision and collection of court cost, fines, and restitution payments. Offenders are provided with substance abuse assessment, education, and group counseling; assistance with driver's license reinstatement; domestic violence group counseling; and monitoring of other special conditions ordered by the court.

Pretrial Release Program
The Pretrial Release Program offers the judiciary pretrial defendant supervision as opposed to incarceration. It also provides background investigation of incarcerated pretrial defendants and makes recommendations to the court regarding whether they would be appropriate candidates for supervised release.

Community Corrections Mission Statement
Our mission is to develop, establish, and maintain community based corrections programs that provide sanctions and alternatives to incarceration, and to provide leadership and coordination throughout the criminal justice community.
