Message from Chief Brower
On behalf of the men and women of our fire and rescue service it is my pleasure to welcome you to our online home.
Our service represents a combined effort of volunteers and career employees who respond to emergency incidents 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our goal is to provide you the highest level of efficient and professional emergency fire and rescue service possible. We operate from 19 stations, providing a full range of emergency response to the citizens of Loudoun County and the seven incorporated Towns. By way of reciprocal mutual aid agreements, services are also provided to the Loudoun County's neighboring jurisdictions. In 2013, our service responded to over 28,300 incidents!
In addition to conventional “first responder” services, we manage various core public safety sections. These include 9-1-1 Emergency Communications, the Office of Emergency Management, Fire & EMS Training, Fire & Life Safety Education, Fire Prevention Code Enforcement, Fire Investigations, Volunteer Coordination and Planning & Administrative services.
The following programs and critical public safety messages are on the forefront of our fight for safety, knowledge and are near and dear to my own heart:
In addition to our website, we encourage you to follow along with us through social media. These resources will serve as your window to the departments activities, our people and our organization. Lastly, I encourage you to visit any of our fire and rescue facilities. They will be happy to show you around, answer your questions and, perhaps, entice you to join our service. It is, after all, among the most noble of professions.
