Pet Pantry
Overview
The Loudoun County
Department of Animal Care and Control helps the
Community Holiday Coalition by hosting a Pet Pantry to provide donated pet food and supplies to families in need during the holiday season through the coalition's
store. The Pet Pantry allows families who are picking up food, clothes, and toys at the Holiday Coalition Store to also receive food and treats for their pets.
The Pet Pantry is a project of the department's award-winning
Companion Animal Resource Effort or C.A.R.E. program, which works year-round to assist low income families with pet care needs such as medical assistance, low cost spay / neuter surgery, and pet food. The Pet Pantry is supported by donations and accepts:
- New or gently used toys
- Treats
- Unopened pet food; especially needed is food for cats and small animals
