Public Hearings
The Planning Commission holds its regular monthly public hearing on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Board Room of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street, S.E. in Leesburg. The monthly public hearing is broadcast on Comcast Government Channel 23, Verizon FiOS Channel 40, and Open Band Channel 18 and is available for live viewing via streaming video. 

Planning Commission public hearings are published in the Friday editions of Leesburg Today, and are posted on Thursdays on the Leesburg Today website. The newspaper notices are printed three weeks prior and the website notices two weeks prior to the public hearing. Please note that although items are advertised, it is possible that items may be withdrawn or postponed up to and including the day of the public hearing. Citizens are encouraged to call the Department of Planning on the day of the public hearing to confirm that an item is on the agenda.

Worksessions
The Planning Commission’s regular monthly worksession is held on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm in the Purcellville Room of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street, S.E. in Leesburg. 

Meeting Information
Dates and times of Planning Commission meetings are posted on the Loudoun County Government Master Calendar.

The Planning Commission agenda, whether for a public hearing or worksession, is subject to change. It is possible agenda items can be withdrawn or postponed up to and including the day of the public hearing or worksession. Therefore, citizens are encouraged to call the Department of Planning on the day of the meeting to confirm that an item is on the agenda, or, the most current agenda may be viewed here.

All Planning Commission meetings are open to the public except as provided for in the Virginia Freedom of Information Act.

Planning Commission meetings are recorded with For The Record® (FTR) technology. Audio copies of meetings are available for purchase from the Department of Planning in CD format. The Record Player software is required to listen to the audio and can be downloaded free of charge at the For The Record® website.

The audio files are also available for review at the Planning Department by appointment.

Inclement Weather Policy / Holidays
If a Planning Commission worksession or public hearing falls on a Holiday, or in the event of inclement weather, the worksesion or public hearing will be held the following Thursday.
