Fixed-Route Bus Service
Virginia Regional Transit
(VRT) provides fixed-route and demand-response bus transportation. Scheduled fixed-route service is available in Purcellville, Leesburg, Sterling / Countryside, Ashburn Village, and Ashburn Farm. Bus service is also operated from Dulles Town Center. The 7-to-7-on-7 bus service operates in the Route 7 Corridor from Purcellville to the Fairfax County line at Dranesville Road. The fixed-route service is designed to provide a seamless transfer between routes at hub locations at Leesburg, INOVA Loudoun Hospital, and Dulles Town Center. These routes also provide connections to other regional buses, like the Fairfax County Connector Metrobus 5A.
Demand-Response Bus Service
In those areas not served by fixed routes, VRT provides demand-response service throughout Loudoun County. This service provides travel assistance from a resident’s home to locations in Loudoun for medical appointments, shopping, or other basic-need destinations. Fares vary throughout the county based on the length of the trip. Users are required to call 24 hours in advance to make reservations. Trips will be arranged where logistically possible. Service hours are from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Please call VRT at 877-777-2708 for more information.
