Ashburn Community Outreach
The Ashburn Community Outreach Project has three main objectives:
- To reach a geographically, broad-based group of citizens through a comprehensive outreach process,
- To ensure that the project is inclusive and that participants are representative of the larger Ashburn Community, and
- To utilize a variety of web-based, print, and social mediums for information dissemination and citizen communication.
The project is also intended to be community-driven. Public participation activities will include resident and business surveys and group presentations over the summer. In the fall of 2011, four interactive sessions will be held. The sessions will include a review of the survey results collected over the summer and the gathering of public input to shape the recommended objectives and strategies for future planning efforts in the Ashburn Community.
