SmarTrip
SmarTrip® is now accepted on all Loudoun County commuter buses. A SmarTrip® card is a permanent, rechargeable farecard. It's plastic, like a credit card, and is embedded with a special computer chip that keeps track of the value of the card.

Using a SmarTrip® card is fast and easy. Simply touch the SmarTrip® card to the circular targets on top of the SmarTrip® farebox on the Loudoun County commuter bus to pay your fare with SmarTrip®. Using the SmarTrip® card on the Loudoun County commuter buses automatically reduces the fare and allows you a free transfer to any other Loudoun County commuter bus within a three hour window. Download the SmarTrip Brochure for more information.
