The responsibilities of the EMS Division include the coordination, implementation and training of all aspects of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) within the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System. In addition to training all levels of EMS providers, Loudoun County has an Accredited Paramedic Program to train personnel in advanced life support techniques.

Between July 2015 and June 2016, LCFR responded to a total of 29,308 incidents: 20,121 EMS-related incidents; 6,366 Fire-related incidents; and 2,821 Public Service/Other-related incidents.  Of the total emergency incident responses, 76% of the incidents were EMS-related.
This program provides liaisons to various local, regional, state, and national work groups and committees, and coordinates special service-related programs.
