The adopted Facilities Standards Manual (FSM) is online. The FSM will be updated to reflect any amendments adopted by the Board of Supervisors.
FSM Amendments Effective January 15, 2018
On December 13, 2017, the Board of Supervisors adopted amendments to Chapters 7 and 8 of the FSM pertaining to trees, archaeology, steep slopes, and bonding, effective January 15, 2018. Redline text depicting the amendments was included in the December 13, 2017, Board packet posted online:
The PRC is currently reviewing fire lane requirements in coordination with the Loudoun County Fire Marshal’s Office. A fire lane matrix summarizing the issues being discussed, as of February 21, 2018, is available here
FSM PRC Meetings
The meetings of the full Facilities Standards Manual (FSM) Public Review Committee (PRC) are normally held in the Purcellville Room of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street, S.E. in Leesburg. The committee's meeting schedule for 2018 is online here

The members are appointed by the Board of Supervisors

Chapter 1 of the Facilities Standards Manual (FSM) states that the Board of Supervisors will appoint a Public Review Committee to review and provide comments on proposed revisions to the FSM prior to the public hearing process.
The FSM is designed to assist the public and development community in determining the policies which apply to land development in the county. It contains information primarily concerned with design and construction standards and guidelines for improvements related to subdivisions and site plans.
