Requesting Copies
The files held by the Circuit Court Clerk’s office are public record; however certain items contained in the file are not available for public inspection and cannot be copied. These items may be confidential in nature or may be sealed by the judge. You will be informed of those items that cannot be copied. We will typically have your copies ready for you within one to two business days, depending on the volume.
Fees
You may request copies in person or in writing. When requesting copies in person, you may review the file, without taking the file apart, and paperclip the pages that you want to have copied. Copies are $0.50 per page, with an additional charge of $2.00 if you want the document certified.
Page Limits
Copies are not made after 4:00 pm as the registers are closed. We will copy up to 20 pages while you wait. Any requests over 20 pages must be paid for in advance and you will be called when your copies are ready.
Requests by Mail
When mailing in a copy request, you must include a check or money order, along with a self-addressed, stamped envelope. |
