Since 1966, the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Community Services (PRCS) has worked to meet Loudoun residents’ need for recreation, leisure, and community service programs.

The department operates and maintains a planned, integrated network of facilities throughout Loudoun County including active and passive parks, community, recreation and senior centers, historic sites, a nature preserve and a fine arts center. Through a cooperative effort with Loudoun County Public Schools, the department offers additional programs at school sites.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide outstanding recreational and leisure opportunities, outcome-focused community services, and stewardship of our natural resources to promote quality of life for Loudoun’s residents and visitors.
