The Department General Services is responsible for permitting waste haulers and ensuring that recycling occurs in accordance with Loudoun County’s ordinances:

• Chapter 1086: Solid Waste Reduction and Recycling 

The county's litter and solid waste management facilities ordinances address junk and trash that are not disposed of properly. These ordinances, Chapters 1080 and 1088, are also available online:
