The Loudoun County Store's newest item is The Lure of Loudoun: Centuries of Change in Virginia's Emerald County by Noel Grove and Charles P. Poland, Jr. ($52.50, tax included.)
Published by the Loudoun Museum in commemoration of Loudoun County's 250th anniversary, The Lure of Loudoun is a diary in pictures and text of one of the nation's fastest growing counties. The book is richly illustrated with over 300 color and black-and-white images of Loudoun's landscapes, personalities, artifacts and historic documents.

The Loudoun County crystal ornament, etched with the county seal, comes in a red velvet bag. The ornament is priced at $8.00.
The Loudoun County shot glass also displays the county seal. It comes with a black velvet bag and is priced at only $3. |

Other 250th anniversary related items include:
- A 12-ounce ceramic mug with the 250th Anniversary logo.
- Loudoun County bears, wearing Loudoun County T-shirts with "1757-2007" on the front.
The store also features items with the Loudoun County seal or insignia such as bookmarks, shirts, canvas briefcases and canvas tote bags.
Prices range from $2.30 for a leather bookmark to $21 for a tote bag to $33 for a fleece shirt. Current and retired county employees receive a discount.
Here's how the store works. Stop by the lobby of the Loudoun County Government Center, 1 Harrison Street, S.E. in Leesburg and check out our display case. When you've decided what you would like, just go to the Office of Mapping and Geographic Information on the 2nd floor to purchase the items.
