NOTICE: Effective January 1, 2020, the Clerk of the Circuit Court will no longer accept Certificate of Assumed or Fictitious Business Name (CC-1050) filings.
Pursuant to Virginia Code § 59.1-74, starting January 1, 2020, Certificates of Assumed or Fictitious Name shall be filed in the office of the clerk of the State Corporation Commission. Please contact the State Corporation Commission directly for further information.
The Clerk of the Circuit Court will continue accepting filing of cancellations for the certificates previously registered with our office.
Pursuant to Virginia Code § 59.1-74, Clerk of the Circuit Court will accept filings of cancellations for Certificates of Assumed or Fictitious Name filed with Loudoun County Clerk of Circuit Court prior to January 1st, 2020.
Complete cancellation form here. Public terminals are available to complete the form at the Clerk's Office. Form must list business entity legal name as it is formed/registered with the State Corporation Commission, previously registered fictitious or assumed name, and recording instrument number or deed book and page.
