The Franklin Park Pool is an authorized provider of the Virginia Swim Program for infants, toddlers, and school aged children. Classes are offered during the summer Monday through Thursday for two weeks with Fridays used as weather make-up days. Classes are not held during thunderstorms. You may register for swimming lessons online through WebTrac.
For ages 3 and up, half-hour lessons are arranged by advance appointment only. Lessons offer individualized attention for the person who seeks one-on-one swimming instruction. A minimum of four lessons must be scheduled at paid for at the time of registration. The price per session is $25 for individual lessons or $35 for semi-private.
Loudoun County PRCS officially began participating in Virginia Swims in December of 2016. The Virginia Swims program was developed by aquatics professionals throughout Virginia and was 1st implemented by other local aquatics departments in 2012.
The prerequisite for each level is the successful demonstration of the skills from the preceding level, except for Level 1, which has no prerequisite.
