Beginning Monday, January 14, 2019, Loudoun County Transit fares are being temporarily waived for federal government employees who are not receiving paychecks and who present a federal agency work identification when boarding a bus. The free bus rides will continue for the duration of the current federal government shutdown or until ended by the Board of Supervisors.


Loudoun County Transit operates morning and late afternoon rush hour service from Loudoun Park and Ride lots to the Wiehle-Reston East and West Falls Church Metrorail Stations as well as Rosslyn, Crystal City, the Pentagon, and Washington, D.C.

Commuter buses are equipped with reclining seats, a restroom, reading lights, overhead bins and fareboxes.
