Camp Staff

Trip Camp is staffed by experienced camp staff that meet or exceed the state licensing requirements. All staff have previous child care or camp experience, are CPR and First Aid trained and go through camp training prior to working our camp. Unlike many camp programs, many of our staff stay with our program for many years and get to know the campers. Trip Camp also has the full support of the full-time community center staff.

My 1st Trip Camp

The My 1st Trip Camp program is for rising Kindergarten through 1st grade. This camp is geared more toward the younger camper and trips are designed for this age group. First graders may choose between the My 1st Trip Camp and Elementary Trip Camp. The staff ratio on the trips is lower at six campers to one staff. This camp generally uses a smaller mini-bus that is just for this age group. The trips are also to less crowded destinations and do not go into Washington DC or Baltimore. A copy of the parent handbook, fee schedule and daily itinerary can be found here.

Elementary Trip Camp

Elementary Trip Camp is for rising grades one through five. First graders may choose between My 1st Trip Camp and Elementary Trip Camp. This camp has a maximum ratio of 11 campers to one staff. This camp uses a Loudoun County Public Schools bus and goes on trips throughout the Washington / Baltimore areas. A copy of the parent handbook, fee schedule and daily itinerary can be found here.

Middle School Trip Camp

Middle School Trip Camp is for rising grades six through eight. Rising sixth graders may choose Elementary Trip Camp upon consultation with staff. This camp has a maximum ratio of 14 campers to one staff. This camp also uses a Loudoun County Public Schools bus and goes on trips throughout the Washington / Baltimore areas. Some of the trips in this camp include those available to older children, such as horseback riding, canoeing, tubing, etc. This camp also goes to Six Flags two times every week! Once to visit the water park and once to visit the amusement park. A copy of the parent handbook, fee schedule and daily itinerary can be found here.

Registration

Camp is offered for every week of the summer and on most days that school is not in session during the school year. Camp operates from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and trips usually depart around 9:30 a.m. and return around 5 p.m. The weekly camp fee is only $210 for elementary school and $240 for middle school and includes all admissions and transportation. Registration for the summer is open and ongoing beginning in the middle of March each year. Returning campers get priority for the next summer. A deposit of $25 per camp week is due at the time of registration, with the balance due two weeks before the start of the camp week.
