Opportunities to Participate in County Government

The Loudoun County Board of Supervisors recognizes and celebrates the diversity of Loudoun County and encourages all individuals to apply to serve on Board-appointed committees and commissions. 

Certain boards, commissions, or committees may require members to complete one or more of the following:

  • Conflict of Interest Statements regarding financial disclosures, statement of economic interest, or real estate holdings. 
  • Possess certain qualifications or attain certain certifications 
  • Background check

Freedom of Information Act and Conflict of Interest Act

All boards, commissions, and committees are subject to the Virginia Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and Conflicts of Interest Act (COIA), including electronic communication regarding public business. Chapter 37, Section 2.2-3702 of the Virginia FOIA provides that upon appointment or election, or reappointment or reelection, members of a public body shall be provided with a copy of the act.
