Alejandra Rueda

Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney & Victim Witness Program Director

Deputy Commonwealth's Attorney and Victim Witness Program Director Alejandra "Alex" Rueda joined the Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in 2005. Ms. Rueda supervises the Sex Crimes and Domestic Violence Unit in the office and serves as a full-time member of:

  • The Child Advocacy Center Advisory Board
  • The County ICOPE Minor Sex Trafficking Advisory Board
  • The Juvenile Justice Committee
  • The Local Loudoun County Multi-disciplinary Team
  • The Sexual Assault Response Team

Background

In May 2017, Ms. Rueda received an award from the Loudoun County Child Advocacy Center for her work on the Multi-disciplinary Team.

As a bilingual attorney with native fluency in Spanish, Ms. Rueda often volunteers to assist in cases with Spanish speaking victims.

Ms. Rueda is a graduate of Trinity University and Washington and Lee University School of Law. Prior to beginning her tenure with the Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney's Office, Ms. Rueda served as an Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Arlington County and as an Assistant Public Defender for the City of Alexandria.

Ashley Baker

Victim Witness Case Manager

Victim Witness Case Manager Ashley Baker began her career with Child Protective Services in Loudoun County in 2011 and joined the Loudoun County Victim Witness Program in 2017. Ms. Baker holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Hood College and a Master's degree in Human Sciences: Helping Relationships from Hood College. 

Ms. Baker is a trained Forensic Interviewer in NCAC and ChildFirst protocols and a member of the Loudoun Child Advocacy Center Multi-Disciplinary Team. Ms. Baker handles all types of cases, but her focus is in assisting child and adult victims of sexual assault and rape. In June 2017, Ms. Baker received an award from the Loudoun County Child Advocacy Center for her work on the Multi-Disciplinary Team.

Lisa Cockerille

Victim Witness Case Manager

Victim Witness Case Manager Lisa Cockerille began her career with Loudoun County in 1988.  In 1993, Ms. Cockerille was promoted to serve as one of three staff members assigned to the newly formed Loudoun County Victim Witness Program. 

Ms. Cockerille handles all types of cases, but her focus is assisting domestic violence victims by providing support and information throughout the criminal justice process. Ms. Cockerille is a member of the Loudoun County Domestic Abuse Response Team and collaborates with other D.A.R.T. partners encouraging the legal exchange of critical information leading to a uniform and consistent response to domestic and family violence in Loudoun County.  

In addition to numerous Virginia Victim Assistance Network and victim advocacy trainings, Ms. Cockerille has completed trainings offered by the Tahirih Justice Center on protecting immigrant women and girls and T-Visa application training for victims of human trafficking.    

Sara Dollard

Victim Witness Case Manager

Victim Witness Case Manager, Sara Dollard joined the Loudoun County Victim Witness Program in June 2018. Ms. Dollard holds a Bachelor’s degree in psychology from Marymount University.  Ms. Dollard spent six years with the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office as a Victim Witness Specialist, where she primarily handled domestic violence related cases. Ms. Dollard then spent two and a half years with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children as an Assistant Case Manager with the Family Abduction Division Ms. Dollard worked with both domestic and international family abduction cases during her time with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Ms. Dollard has completed trainings on U-Visa by Tahirih Justice Center, Alliance for Hope training on domestic violence strangulation, and is certified to administer the Danger Assessment to victims of domestic violence.
