The Art Advisory Committee’s seven at-large members serve four-year terms which are concurrent with the Board of Supervisors. An employee of the county government serves as liaison between the government, Board of Supervisors and the committee.
Yearly exhibitions at the Loudoun County Government Center include artwork from the permanent collection and the Loudoun Sketch Club. Periodically, the committee also offers special exhibitions for county government employee artists, Loudoun County Public School students, local art academies and other professional and emerging local artists. AAC members will work with each selected artist on an informational poster that will be displayed in the exhibit area and arrange the date and time for an opening reception for the public to meet the artist.
