Leesburg Fire & Rescue Station 20 Expansion

Project Overview

  • This project will construct additions and renovations to the existing Leesburg Fire and Rescue Station 20, located next to the Leesburg Police Station.
  • The facility will expand by 8,100 square feet to include: 
    • A 6,300 square foot addition to accommodate two drive through apparatus bays, updated bunkroom facilities, restrooms, a kitchen, a fitness room, offices and a fire station alerting system. 
    • A 1,800 square foot addition for equipment storage. 
  • The project scope includes the renovation of the interior of the existing building.
  • Funding for this project uses general obligation bonds and local tax funding. 
  • Construction began in December of 2018.

Current Status: August 2020

  • Construction was completed this month.
  • Over the next several weeks, punch list items will be completed and the station will be furnished for use by Loudoun County Fire and Rescue.
