PRCS Strategic Master Plan
Loudoun County is committed to delivering quality, accessible and amenity-rich park and recreation spaces. The Department of Parks, Recreation and Community Services is undergoing the master planning process in order to align new investments with a community-driven mission and vision that integrates the County’s pursuit of parks and recreation. The outcome will be a Master Plan that will be used as a resource for future development and redevelopment of the County’s parks, recreation programs and facilities.
Our brand of creating community through people, parks and programs will be elevated to the next level as we undertake the strategic master planning process. Our vision is to create an environment for providing exceptional facilities, recreational opportunities and community services that enhance the health and well-being of Loudoun’s residents. We are excited about the possibilities that this new master plan presents and realize that your input is critical to its success.
Our history of commitment to excellence in programs and facilities has resulted in a diverse recreational and supportive community that Loudoun residents and businesses enjoy today. A renewed focus on the type of parks, centers, recreational amenities and supportive services that the community needs will result in a blueprint for meeting the expectations of residents for years to come.
In order to ensure the viability and long-term success of the master planning process, we are asking residents and businesses to make their voices heard. We encourage everyone to get involved by attending public meetings, completing the online survey and sharing your input with staff. We will offer virtual, online and (when possible) personal opportunities to participate as we navigate the planning process while navigating challenges presented by the pandemic. We look forward to working with you to shape the future of our parks, centers, recreational amenities and supportive services.
