Sterling Park Safety Center

Overview

  • This project provides funding to design and construct a new 22,000 square foot replacement station for the Sterling Volunteer Fire and Rescue Companies at the corner of East Holly Avenue and Commerce Street in Sterling.
  • The new station will replace the current 8,772-square-foot building on this site dating from 1970, and provide more storage and parking. The one-acre property will also expand by a third of an acre.
  • Features of the facility will include a reception area, meeting and training rooms, bunk rooms, a kitchen, an exercise room, offices, apparatus bays, and storage space for equipment and gear.
  • Funding for this project uses general obligation bonds and cash proffers.
